Friends and family gathered to celebrate with Rachel as she ‘opened’ her Shoppe in mid-September. Tea was served, along with refreshments. Sources confirm there was much chit chat and giggling to be found among the girls.
Rachel opened with comments concerning the history of her Grandmother’s hutch and her vision and hopes for this Shoppe. Her mother, Kathryn (Countaway) LaFave, delivered a beautiful tribute in honor of Rachel’s late Grandmother, Betty Lou Countaway. This was followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony, as the doors of the Shoppe were opened for guests to take a peek!
Door prizes were discovered underneath tea cup saucers. Vouchers in the amounts of $5 and $10 were given to christen the Shoppe!
It was a wonderful way to remember Betty Lou Countaway, as well as to introduce this new Shoppe founded in her honor.
